Glen Hellman graduated from the University of Maryland in 1978 and has been involved in technology startups ever since. Including joining Progress Software and building a $20 million revenue base that propelled the company's successful $360 million initial public offering. He led directed Call Technologies, strategic plan, raised $12 million in Venture Capital funding, and engineered the company's $92 million cash sale to 3Com. He spent 10 years as a hired-gun turn-around executive in the employ of private equity investors. For the last 10 years, Mr. Hellman has worked as an executive coach, helping business leaders figure out what to do and holding them accountable to do it.
Glen is a former Angel Investor and was named the by Tech Cocktail as the #1 Angel Investor in America. He's an avid startup and technology blogger, affectionally known as DC's own Mr. Cranky. He served on the Board of Advisors of the University of Maryland Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship. Was named by Vistage, a global executive coaching firm with over 15,000 coaching clients as the 2011 Rookie Coach of the Year. He's a frequent keynote speaker on leadership, raising capital, and using neuroscience to influence others.
